About the Museum

Our new museum is located at 15939 Central Avenue, right next door to Service Canada and directly across from Cabot Links golf course.

Parking is available at the rear of the building.

We only accept cash at this time.

An all-gender washroom is available in the museum.

There’s no need to book in advance for guided tours at the Inverness Miners Museum. Our staff will be there to welcome you upon entry and start the tour, ensuring you have an informative and engaging experience right from the start. Feel free to visit at your convenience.

School groups are encouraged to book in advance by emailing the museum before their visit. This allows us to ensure a tailored and enriching experience for your students. By securing your reservation early, we can accommodate your group size and provide the best possible engagement with our exhibits on coal-mining history. Please reach out to us as soon as possible to arrange your visit.

Our museum now offers the services of a registered genealogist, Mr. Keenan Sutherland. He is available to assist visitors in uncovering their family history and connections to the coal-mining community of Inverness. Please get in touch with the museum for an appointment and to inquire about his rates.
